What is Raven’s Challenge?
Raven’s Challenge (RC) Interoperability Exercise is an annual, interagency, counter IED exercise that incorporates scenarios focused on interoperability capabilities between public safety bomb squads (PSBSs) and military explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) units in operational environments.
ENDURING TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Exchange tactics, techniques and procedures between PSBSs and EOD elements

Enhance team building and liaison between PSBSs and EOD elements

Use of dynamic live fire training scenarios

The exercise is funded by the Department of the Army and led by the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Personnel from multiple agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of the Defense, the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration, and state and local public safety agencies throughout the country all provide manpower resources to assist in completion of the exercise
